"To be really good at something, you have to love what you’re doing – and it is clear that Ariane Le Carboulec not only loves, but takes true joy in, what she does. The Montessori Parent Child Center is a particularly perfect fit for Ariane’s abilities. She not only has a warm, loving touch with children, she really understands parents’ worries and concerns, and offers consistently helpful counsel. Her Montessori teaching is a model of the method – and definitely gets results! In her dedication, caring and commitment Ariane is, in our experience, without equal."

"Ariane was our daughter's Montessori teacher when she was 6 months - 16 months old. The capabilities that Ariane brought out in her using Montessori methods were almost beyond our belief. We brought her to Montessori school while she was still not swallowing (spitting out!) baby food. By her second day, she was not only swallowing the baby food, but the way she learned to do it was by spooning it into her mouth by herself! We never would have figured out that she needed to coordinate it herself to swallow it. She very soon moved from the bottle to drinking from a cup by herself, cleaning her table and putting her dishes in the sink, and by the end of the school year was largely toilet trained (she was completely trained by 19 months.) Our daughter is so happy, independent, and confident, and we feel we owe much of it to the loving Montessori education she received from Ariane."
"Lexi loves her Montessori class. She loves the independence, the nature of exploration, and the consistency. She carries what she discovers and learns from class into our house. Watching Lexi love her class is a gift. The class helps me realize what Lexi is actually capable of."
"Alexander has really thrived at the Montessori Parent Child Center. I knew that he would learn a lot, but I've been surprised by how much I have learned too! Our experience with the Montessori philosophy has extended way beyond the 90 minutes we spend in class...It's become a helpful guide for me as a parent overall. The Montessori Parent Child Center has truly helped us become a "Montessori family"."
"My 17 month old son has participated at the Montessori Parent Child Center for the past four months and in that short period of time I've already seen some very positive changes. He is learning how to focus on one activity at a time, put his activities away after using them, and is even starting to understand the concept of "waiting for his turn". The program has also helped my husband and I re-think our style as parents and how to respond to the various new situations our son presents to us each day."
"Lucas started Ariane's class at the Montessori Parent Child Center when he was less than a year old and it has been the best class I've been to. Not only did he love going, but I could see tangible changes in his behavior, his independence and sense of self. The philosophy is wonderful and Ariane is personally invested in helping kids feel empowered, confident and able. I highly recommend it."
"We are so grateful to the Montessori Parent Child Center for introducing us to the Montessori philosophy. Every week our toddler looked forward to his class, activities and friends. Now, we have had the pleasure of watching him transition into a Montessori preschool. Due in great part to his experience at the Center, he has adapted very well, and loves it there, too!"
"Ariane does a great job running the class. She is extremely attentive to the needs of the group as well as each individual child. She is also an excellent resource on issues that extend beyond the classroom. The class has been a really useful introduction to the Montessori method and has opened my eyes to how much my daughter, Phoebe, is ready to do in the right environment. Phoebe loves class and is getting so much out of it. We both continue to learn something new every week."
"In the short time we've been participating, I can already see progress in Olivia. She is more focused and confident, and she really takes pride in her work."

"We have tried all types of classes for our 2 year old: music, painting, swimming, and gym. The most useful class we have ever tried was the Montessori Parent-Child Class. The skills and techniques that he learned were indispensable as he progressed to preschool. We highly recommend this class to any parents considering Montessori or other methods. Do not underestimate the effect of these 90 minutes per week on your child's overall development."
"I had heard many good things about the Montessori philosophy, but did not have any understanding of exactly what was involved in a classroom setting. I was excited to try out the Montessori Parent Child Center so that I could learn about this style of learning firsthand, as well as see for myself whether it was the right fit for my almost-two-year-old daughter. Through personal observation, and under the leadership of Ariane, I found a place where I could see what my child was capable of. I had not realized that she was able to concentrate on an activity for long, nor did I realize how well she was able to follow a sequence of directions. The course also stretched my daughter's abilities, and I saw her gaining confidence. I was so impressed that I sought out a Montessori-based program for her to do for the fall, and thanks to Ariane, I knew what to ask and what to look for. Additionally, Ariane was also very helpful in identifying signs that I had not recognized, such as my daughter's readiness for toilet learning. We will definitely be back when my second child is ready."
"Our son is 17 months old and has been enrolled in the Montessori parent-child program for 6 months. It has made a wonderful difference in his self-confidence, independence and ability to focus his attention on an activity or task. He also loves the class - and with a huge smile, goes to get his hat and shoes to prepare for class every week! The program has made such a positive impact for our son and our parenting style. I cannot recommend it more highly to other parents."
"The Montessori parent-child program is the only truly focused hour and a half each week that I get to spend with my daughter, without the distractions of busy family, work and home life. I treasure this time together, observing her, watching her grow month-to-month with the different skill stations, seeing her interact with her classmates and show off her independence. Ariane is so sweet and supportive at each step, and the thoughtful hand-outs each week help bring the practice home. This program has helped our whole family learn to respect the abilities of babies and toddlers and has taught us how to parent more patiently and respectfully."
"Our family has had a wonderful experience with the Montessori parent-child program. Our son has limitless energy and enthusiasm and Ariane provided great tips to us parents to help channel this energy. We recommend this program wholeheartedly to all parents who feel that the Montessori way is the right way for them."

"Even though my daughter was only 6 months old when we tried out the Montessori Parent Child Center, she really enjoyed it, and it was a great introduction to the Montessori philosophy, as well as what I can look forward to in a future Montessori classroom for her. The classroom environment gave me some great ideas for educational games to play with her, and even table manners to encourage in the meantime. I look forward to her participating in a future Montessori educational environment."
"My son started at the Montessori Parent Child Center at 18 months. The change in his disposition became apparent only a few weeks later. His self control improved dramatically and he started mastering skills well before I would have thought to introduce them. More importantly, MPCC encouraged me to foster my son's independence. I was encouraged to let him play independently, help set the table, clean up after himself and much more. My daughter began attending at 9 months and, by applying the principles I learned at MPCC, she has become a very independent young girl and is always surprising me with what she can do."
"I have learned so many of my parenting skills from this class, and I bring it with me everywhere, from the way I talk to my son, to the way that I observe him, to the comfort that comes with knowing that he is doing the work of constructing himself at his own pace. It is really a fantastic class and a wonderful asset to the community and the world."
" My wife, Veronique, convinced me that our twins should start Ariane's Thursday classes. And then she said that I would have to take time off of work to accompany her. Hmmmm ... not such an easy sale. Well ... it turned out to be a life-changing experience. At 2.5 years of age, Victor and Ella are thriving and have a passion for learning. They approach their tasks with significant concentration, have already developed skills that demonstrate courtesy, respect and generosity, and are continually developing their self-esteem and self-confidence. Without question, that success is a result of Ariane's classes, and the application of her Montessori teachings to our home environment. Just as importantly, it's not just about the children, but it's also about the parents getting the guidance that they need during those critical early years."
"The Montessori Parent-Child Program has shaped who we are as parents in a significant positive way. It has exposed us to a way of doing things that gives us as parents and our children as individuals confidence, focus, and discipline - as well as joy in independence and learning. All three of our children have attended the program and each has benefited greatly and has loved it. We sent flowers to the woman who recommended the program to us as a thank you! Her recommendation has changed our lives!"
"It is not the program itself – it is Ariane who makes all the instructions and hints make sense and work. I wish I had started visiting this class even earlier on with Sofia. It was one of the weekly events that Sofia and myself have equally looked forward to happen. Although the class takes only 90 minutes, this class was a central point of our week."

"MPCC’s parent education approach has been invaluable to me. When I started the program, I had a rudimentary understanding of what “Montessori” meant. Now, I find that the Montessori philosophy offers me a powerful lens through which I can make all of my parenting decisions, not just those related to education. Ariane has provided me with the tools and guidance I needed to understand and utilize Dr. Montessori’s research in a way that truly benefits my family. Her weekly articles, book recommendations, and parent discussion groups have been so helpful in setting a foundation for my parenting approach. Ariane’s kindness, patience, and understanding of the parent/child relationship make her a wonderful resource and friend. Taking this class has given me more confidence as a parent and launched my family on a wonderful educational journey that we may not have taken otherwise."
"Ariane is an absolute treasure. She has great respect for children and provides structured, compassionate and nurturing advice. MPCC successfully facilitated our daughter's growth, independence and development. Our now 26 month old daughter has thrived, and it has been our absolute delight to watch her reach a potential that we did not think was possible until much later."
"I distinctly remember one year ago reading the testimonials on the Montessori Parent Child Center website and wondering if they were too good to be true. After two sessions, my husband and I couldn't agree more with the glowing reviews. Ariane provided us the guidance to bring Montessori into our home to our young daughter. While the books we read were obviously helpful, it is the combination of Ariane's sessions that give us the needed guidance and confidence to foster such independence in our child. The weekly class serves as a constant reminder that children can do - and more importantly want to do - so much more than we think. The past two sessions have been the highlight of my daughter's week, and my husband and I jokingly squabble about who gets to go with her. Why? It's 90 minutes of watching independence and curiosity blossom. We can't thank Ariane and the Montessori Parent Child Center enough for what it's done for us as parents and for our thriving little girl.
